"can you remember what he said? even a snippet of it?" I ask curiously. "and don't worry; you áre weak. We all are, in the end. No matter how we can Synchronise, we are always at a disadvantage when fighting Tulsin. I'm specialised in Fire Type Pokémon, but I couldn't light a match at his Arcanine when they were synched...The only way to beat him is to have a complete type and power advantage...Articuno might be able to help since dragon types are weak against ice-types, but he has already encapsulated himself with that Arcanine of his. And if we show up with a water or ground-type he's got plenty of other Pokémon to counter it with undoubtedly."

<Rafe>
I and Zoey are walking through the hallway and Alex' Umbreon flashes by. ".... seems like Alex is getting his Pokémon to help him." I snicker. "never thought he'd humble himself like that." at the end of the hallway I can see the dining-hall.

"No, I'm not sure. Alex, why are you sending Umbreon out to get your bag?"

<Alex>
"Okay, I'll explain that a bit. Why did I walk yesterday? Because I had painkillers to suppress the pain. And they've stopped working. I'm not in agony when I sit, but I am when I want to walk or anything. Seriously, I hope Izakeal rots in jail for all I care about."

<Izakeal>
"Yeah well, that's not going to happen now is it?" I spoke as I sat in the open window for about 5 minutes already. "I want my pokémon back, and you're going to help me with it. If not, a bullet fixes a lot of problems. And don't even think about using any of those four pokémon on me, Darkrai is already around preparing himself to attack you if you don't do as ordered." I said, taking the handgun out from underneath the jacket I had over my shoulders. "The PLI and officers of this Island are lacking to say the least, so how about not dying, Cindel Amber?"

<Alex>
Hearing the all too familiar voice of Izakeal echoïng through the hall got me on my toes already, turning my head toward the direction it came from. "How did you find us? And why?" I spoke, slowly activating my synchronisation with Umbreon to call it back.

<Alexis>
"Aggron use -" I stopped as a bullet smashed through the wooden table.

<Izakeal>
"Next one will hit you. Don't think me a fool."

"Damn it!" I said, as I picked up the phone ready to call HQ... this guy is more dangerous than anticipated...

<rafe>
I look inside and I see the bastard that shot me, and Zoey, and Alex standing there.. "Zoey, keep back for now." I say as I push the girl against the wall.
I look about; there are several tables under which frightened people are huddling. My senses heighten, and Latias' sightsharing and invisibility are a great advantage in these situations. I quietly call out Vulpix. "use smoke-shot." She fires a fiery ball from the hallway and it hits the edge of the table near Alex, immediately casting a smokescreen around the entire group, taking out their sight and hearing in a single blast.

<Cindel>
as I notice the fireball going off, I fall about underneat the chair and kick Alex' chair out from under him.

I felt the chair caving in and quickly turned myself around to catch me with my hands. I pulled my legs back underneath me and turned toward where Izakeal was. With a quick grasp of the two pokéballs containing Zoroark and Lucario, I looked at Cindel. "He's mine." I spoke, summoning them forth. The bright flashes were will covered by the smoke, and as soon as the two pokémon stood, I turned my head. My eyes swapped into three colours each, each containing the colour of Zoroark's, Lucario's and Umbreon's eyecolour.

<Alexis>
Seeing Rafe in the corner of my eye gave me a lot of reassurance. Quickly dropping myself from the chair, I crawled toward Alex' side, who already summoned two of his most powerful pokémon.


<Alex>
I could see that Umbreon rounding the corner and as he rounded the corner and passed by Rafe, Lucario and Zoroark dashed forward, going straight for Izakeal. "Rafe, NOW!" I yelled as I covered my mouth

<Izakeal>
In the shock of the event, I turned my head toward the newcomer, aiming the gun along with it. All I could see was him and a small vulpix, but what appeared from behind them was a Umbreon, heading straight for me. "Darkrai!" I yelled, as a shadow moved over the ground and rose next to me.

"Have a taste of a full power Dragon Pulse!" I say as I see the gun pointed at me. Latias appears only two metres to his left, uncloaking herself and the shockwave of the attack when it is launched broke every glass in a zeven metre radius. Tables flipped and windows cracked and shattered.

<Cindel>
I dive over Alex when a chair comes flying his way. "Alex, be carefull; rafe acts in combinations"

<Alex>
The moment Cindel dove over me, I swapped places with her, taking the brute force of the chair on my back. "Don't even think about taking hits for me..." I spoke in a bit of pain "Now, do me a favour, and get Alexis to safety, along with her Pokémon, and Zoey as well. Izakeal is ours."

<Izakeal>
It was my luck that Darkrai quickly went to my left and used Focus Blast to counter most of the effect, at least for me. However, even though it was among the strongest attacks he had, the close vicinity of the attacks took its toll and as the Dragon Pulse stopped, Darkrai fainted. I aimed carefully at Rafe, before his pokémon could attack again, before pulled the trigger. It was then that an Aura sphere from the side slammed into my arm as I pulled it, sending the bullet off course and instead of the heart, the gun muzzle was aimed for the leg of my target. Seeing two additional Pokémon emerge from the smoke screen, along with the fast approaching Umbreon from the front, I weighed my chances of success now that Darkrai was K.O'ed. With an broken right arm, I couldn't do anything useful, so instead of standing ground, I quickly choose the coward's way out and jumped out of the window.

<Alex>
The gunshot disturbed me, and even though Lucario attempted to prevent it from firing, it still fired. "Rafe, are you alright?" I yelled as I turned my head toward where I believed he was.

"Ohhno you don't!" I yell. "Latias! Use Psychic, and disable his hands and feet!" The gunshot only grazed me, and while it is very painfull, I will not be deterred. Latias quickly flies after him and uses her Psychic to pull him back towards the room while at the same time crushing the barrel of his gun.

<Zoey>
"You're injured!" I say, as I quickly walk towards Rafe. "I might not be able to do much like this, but... Go, Leafeon! Use Aromatherapy on Rafe." I say, as I call out Leafeon.

<cindel>
That blast was far more powerfull than I thought... that Latias is one hell of a powerhouse; I am positive now that that is the pokémon of the rumours! But I still need more evidence if I want to make this into a propper operation... "Alex, you okay?..." I ask softly.

"Yeah, I'm fine Cindel. Don't worry about me." I said, letting go of her and rose to a stance. The smell of the Aromatherapy filled my nostrils and as I felt the pain fainting away I stood fully. I quickly stepped toward Rafe, still limping because of the wound but at least the pain was a lot less. "I guess destruction follows us everywhere my friend." I said, extending my arm to the grounded Rafe.

<Izakeal>
As I was quite far down hill, I noticed the barrelt getting crushed as well as a force pulling me back toward the inn.

<Alex>
Lucario and Zoroark had exited the building as well, as my synchronisation was still active. In my head I sounded a single command, which was to make sure Izakeal couldn't run away anymore, which was the thing that both the pokémon understood quite well. With Latias pulling him back, it was up to them to prevent him from walking away on his own in case of a disturbance.

<Izakeal>
With all the power I could harness, I couldn't break free from the grip of the Psychic. It was as if was cuffed and bound all together, with the only exception that it was a pokémon that did it this time. I could hear paw pressing on the sand, and as soon as I realised which pokémon they were, two punches against my knees made me scream of pain. I could feel them break and dislocate, as the pain was unbearable. After this attack, the pokémon took up guard position along side me, as I slowly floated toward the inn again.

"yeah... but Fleura isn't going to like this..." I comment. "and sit down, you'll regret it afterwards of you don't." I could feel Latias getting closer and dragging the guy after her. My eyes were still sharp, as I put a hand on Zoey's shoulder.

<Zoey>
"Look at the devastation... is this all from a single attack?" I asked Cindel.

<cindel>
"yes... even I was taken aback... I'd seen Latias in battle before, but those were competitive battles in an arena, and she was apparently holding back...!" I explain. "and not to mention that we were in a closed space. Alexis, you okay?"

"I regret being shot, that's most probably the only thing I'll regret as long as the pain is gone. After that... I'll regret not listening to the doctors." I laughed, hoping to help everyone back into a better mood. "And no doubt Fleura won't like this, but then again, it's not as if we choose to fight, we just acted in self defence."

<Alexis>
"Alex, not funny. And yes Cindel, I'm fine. I'm surprised Alex managed to protect you from that chair, considering he's wounded and all." I provoked, implying on Alex' personality.

<Alex>
"Sis, you know damn well that I'd do that no matter the gender. Ofcourse, I'd do it differently, but still." I walked back toward a table that had only moved a bit and sat on top of it, waiting for Izakeal to arrive back.

<Izakeal>
Being dragged around wasn't fun, not at all. I couldn't do anything, Darkrai was knock out and with three powerful pokémon around me that would probably work together without a problem there wasn't much I, or anyone else could do to help me out of this situation.

<Alex>
"Anyway, are you guys still having fun on this vacation? With this wannabe assassin on our tails, probably for the last time if mine did what I wanted them to do."

I walk past the inn and see Latias dragging Izakeal along. ".... now that's a sight I find humouristic!" I said and burst out laughing loudly.

<Rafe>
"no need to move the girls; Izakeal is out of combat..." I say, and I chuckle for a moment. "and apparently, Tulsin is having the time of his life."

<Zoey>
".... I feel soo severely outmatched.." I mumble.

<Rafe>
I put a hand around the girl, and smile at her. "you're not outmatched; I'm by far not that powerfull, but I can occasionally do some big damage. But that doesn't make me strong."

<Cindel>
I whack Alexis one on the back of the head. "yes, he's quite brash..."

"Well that was quite unnecessary Cindel, after all, you were spared the pain of having a chair slam into you. Besides, I can't stand seeing a girl in agony, unless I hate that girl." I grinned, looking at Latias as she came near the window. "Rafe -" I turned my head toward him, "Is it true that Latias is burdened with a grave secret that only she and her companion know about?"

<Alexis>
"Alex, you truly are brash! You don't just ask tha -" I tried to defend Rafe a bit from the question of my brother.

"Alexis, I'll put it this way. I got suspicion enough to step up to Niche and demand the truth why she's pushing him that much." Alex cut me off, with a mere eye over his shoulder toward me.

<Izakeal>
"Yeah, have your bloody laugh Tulsin. You're here and you're not doing anything! We're in the same corporation, you should help me you prick!"

<Alex>
"Rafe, I'm no fool. I know my legends, and I know my friends. You said Latias has been in your mansion for as long as you can remember, that you've trained and played with it since childhood. Come -"

<Alexis>
"Alex, enough! Let him be."

"sorry, I'm still under cover." I say shrugging, and then I walk on.

<Rafe>
"what are you getting at?" I ask with a confronting face. "Latias has been with me as a friend since my very first memories. For now, that is all you will get out of me." My voice is stern and stronger than before, almost as secure as a far older someone.

<Zoey>
I look at Alex again. "you have no idea what you ask." I say. "I haven't asked anything about it because I know what it does to someone like him. So keep back."

<Rafe>
"Zoey, it's allright. He won't get anything about it, and if banters on about it for long enough me might find himself at the recieving end of a Psychic attack." I say with a softer face.

<Cindel>
"dick move, Alex, Dick move..."

"Your responses already got me what I wanted, things are much easier when you're straight forward. And what I was getting at? Perhaps a reason why everyone is pushing you so much, perhaps I'm just interested in your history, who knows but me?"

<Alexis>
"I do, stupid! You should really reconsider before saying something like that."

<Alex>
"Isn't it ironic coming from a girl who desperately tries to hook me up with girls without considering I'm not even looking for someone?"

<Alexis>
"I can always kick you against your knee if you don't shut up!"

<Alex>
I sighed. 'Defensive as ever. Either he doesn't want me to know and understand him and his family, or he's afraid I'll turn my back on him.' The thoughts were racing around, as a moment of silence filled the room. "I'm off to the hospital, bloody doctors want a medical check up at half past 10." I said, stepping off of the table and walking out of the inn, toward the hospital. With a short, yet loud whistle, I called Lucario, Umbreon and Zoroark back to me. As they arrived one by one, I called them back, keeping a close eye on Izakeal before shouting, "How does it feel? Not being able to walk." With these final word, I turned around and walked away toward the hospital.

"Alexis, I trust you can keep him away from anything too dangerous for him?" I said. "because this is more than a matter of personal safety for him, and if he can survive by not knowing, than that's for the better. Even if he would choose to stand by, I wouldn't have it."

<Cindel>
"but you're willing to let a coördinator stand by you, while a a veteran like him you want to keep at bay?"

<Rafe>
"I have my reasons." I say sternly. "I came here to have a vacation, but in the end my hand is forced to spring back into action."

I withheld my answer for a short while, looking at Rafe, then at Zoey, back at Rafe, then toward Cindel. My eyes even slit past Izakeal as he was hauled into the Inn with two broken legs. My head turned toward the door, where Alex stepped through with his injured leg, to end looking at Rafe. "No, I can't. Nobody can, not even the PLI for that matter. If you want him to stand down while a friend is in need of assistance, he won't. If he notices you're in agony, or you need moral support, he'll provide it. You've just seen the proof, he backed down because of your attitude, because you didn't want him to know more then that, but believe me, he won't stop at that. He's digging around." A faint smile appeared on my face, more like a grin then a smile, "he's not going to the hospital for a check up, he's curious about this secret, and I know what he meant with your responses were enough. He was aiming toward your comment, Rafe. To him, it was mockery, it was basicly telling him to back down and sit this one out. You know how he is with that leg injury, how do you think he'll be now that you're pushing him away?"

I sat down on a bench, resting my leg. 'I really should just get at least one crutch.'

"then so be it." I said as I walked to the owner of the Inn and paid a substantial sum for the reparations.
I then pick up the phone and dial a number. "Mother, the vacation is over; we're moving, contact Goldenrod Radio Tower, and Trainers Today in Sinnoh; we're going to rattle Team Rocket out of their cage."

"Are you certain about that?" I asked quickly.

<Rafe>
"Yes. It's time that my name is no longer a burden to me; I will make a public adress."

"it's a downright mediacircus..! Rafe, are you sure about this?" I ask concerned. I look around from the stage, seeing dozens of reporters, including the famous Mary of the pokemon radio tower. A large tapestry with the Archer family insignia was draped behind the stage.

<Rafe>
"I know. But I am definitely sure about it. I'll lure team Rocket out, and to do that I'll need my real name." I said.

<Zoey>
"to me, you'll always be Rafe in the garden." I said smiling kindly. I streighten his jacket, and hug him for a moment. "Good Luck."

<Rafe>
"Thanks... but.. I'll need a lieutenant, someone to keep me sharp and sober." I said. "Are you up for the job?"

<Zoey>
"sure, Captain." I say. I streighten the sleeves on my own uniform and stood ready. "I'm ready."

<Rafe>
"you guys ready to?"

<Cindel>
I throw my thumb up. "if I find anyone pointing a gun at you, you'll have a corpse pointing one at you. a smoking corpse."

<Rafe>
"I'll keep Latias close-by as well. Gardevoir and Ninetails and Snivy too."

<Cindel>
"Alex, -is, are you both ready?"

"Lucario's at the ready when needed, Zoroark is masked at the edge of the crowd. One only needs to flinch and they're on him. Other then that, Luxray will be with me. If needed, I got Tyranitar in his pokéball, and pidgeot's in the air."

<Alexis>
"I'll keep my pokémon in their pokéballs, except for Luxio here. She'll remain on my side."

I walk out and raise a hand to quiet the reporters.
I activate the microphone and I watch all the camera's focus in on me; lights are on, the stage is set.
"As you are well aware, I am known as Rafe archer, Heir to the Archer Family. But I was not born as Rafe Archer. My name, is Shaoran Tsubasa." I say. "And I now, here, on this stage, dismantle myself, and claim what is rightfully mine; the Tsubasa Company, and the Archer conglomerate. By sovernty of my father, Kurogane Tsubasa, I declare today also that we openly oppose Team Rocket and it's affiliates; anyone seen making dealings with them, conversing with their members and assisting in their operations will be labeled an enemy of the Tsubasa Company and will be arrested on site."
The media fell quiet, and soon after several reporters started to present it.
"I will now accept questions."
The silence is was then broken a string of questions.

"how's our corner over there, Alex, talk to me."

"Relax Cindel, it's clear. Alexis, How's it looking from the back of the stage?"

<Alexis>
"Nothing so far, how's Pidgeot doing?"

<Alex>
"Pidgeot's not seeing anything, let's hope it keeps up. Cindel, how are things over there?"

"so far so good."
A hand is raised, and when he stands up, a large man in a fancy suit stands there. His eyes are sharp and his hair is black and stroked back. He's about late fourties early fifties. He had a commanding pressence about him. My eyes widen as I recognise him.
"Alex... can you ID the current speaker? I have a strong hunge you know him."

"As a former Gym-leader I'd like to ask you, what has caused you to throw off this mantle of deception you have been carrying?" the man asks. Only now do I notice the Earth Badge on his coat.

"I see him and I confirm that it's him. I'll take him out of the crowd, I don't want too many people standing in the firing line." I replied, walking into the line where the man stood. I switched channels and tapped into the earplug that Rafe and Zoey wore, "Giovanni's here, stall him as much as you can. We'll apprehend him." The chains around my waist made noise as I stepped past all the people checking one by one if I could recognize any more people.

<Alexis>
"Alex, be careful. He won't appear in public if he isn't planning on doing something, and don't forget, he'll most probably recognize you as a freelancer, be careful."

<Alex>
'Shit, that right. It might have been a year since then but still, there is the possibility of being recognized. I'll take the chance though'

<Alexis>
I walked over to Zoey and whispered into her ear, "As soon as Alex speaks with him, be on your guard."

<Alex>
I waited until Rafe was done answering the question, looking at the man before deciding what to do, "My lord? There is a call from your publisher on line three, if you would follow me, please." Giving the feeling of being a rather extraordinarily dressed butler.

"Cancel that order, Alex; he left all pokéballs outside, and only has his beedril. He is here as a guest." I intercept the boy quickly.

<Rafe>
"The reason for throwing off this mantle is that Team Rocket has recently attacked the Pokémon League, and is endangering this household. The only reason this mantle was taken was to hide this family from Team Rocket. Evidently that has failed and this mantle is no longer needed.
In return, I would like to ask you a single question, my good Sir; seeing your previous contacts to Team Rocket, what is your opinion on the current events?"

<Giovanni>
"I denounce the current Team Rocket. It is not my doing; the reason I started Team Rocket was not to dominate, but to moderate the criminal underworld from the inside, anyone who would become too dangerous would be taken out of the loop. I also have no intention of using any legends. It is my personal belief that behind this -Neo Team Rocket- is Petrel, who is known to have impersonated me for a long time, ever since the radio-tower incident. It is true that I have done wrongs to the world, but since then I've retreated, left my gym, and the organisation, and even my son and wife for journey to discover what power runs in my veins."

<Rafe>
"thank you." I say, with a short nod.

<Giovanni>
"I'm sorry, but I do not have a publisher. you must be mistaken." I say to the boy when he taps me on the shoulder.

"My apologies, I must have mixed you up with someone else." I spoke, withdrawing from my respective position. When I was well away from the man, I placed my finger on the earplug, "Thanks for the early warning Niche." I walked out of the crowd and headed for the main gate. "I'll check the registry, see whether or not there are... certain people among them. At first sight over the crowd, I couldn't see anyone." I spoke, quickly running my hands past each page of the logbook. "Strange. Niche, how many seats are positioned and in use?" I swapped channels and looked at Lucario who stood on the roof of the mansion. "Lucario, check for aura signatures in the forest in the surrounding area." With another swap, I tapped into Alexis'. "How's Luxio's nerves coming along?"

<Alexis>
"You're quite the busy man Alex, Luxio is doing alright, really calm even with all these light flashes."

"all chairs are accounted for; just relax."

<Cindel>
"same goes for the guest-list; everything checks out."

<Rafe>
"As a final announcement; I am hereby merging Tsubasa Conglomerate with all the propperties registered to the Archer Estate so that there is no confusion as to who to contact for the consequences for this." I speak clearly. "Then with this, I would like to end this announcement and bid you farewell."
A round of applauds was heard as I left the stage.

<Giovanni>
I walk over to Niche and shake her hand. "I see that the prodigy of your husband has grown strong. My apologies for the misunderstanding with Petrel, feel free to sabotage his organisation as much as you like."

<Niche>
"We will, but we will need all the aid we can gather; Petrol has claimed Ho-oh as his personal terrorist." I explain with a sincere face. "And rumour has it that he also has Giratina on his side."

<Giovanni>
I sigh. "If that is what he is doing he has forgone all that made Team Rocket the organisation it was."

<Niche>
"Could I ask you a favour? Could you perhaps train with Shaoran for a while; to see if he really is a viridian child." I ask.

<Giovanni>
"I am no longer a gym-leader." I say with a wry smile.

<Niche>
"I know, but that is not what I asked." I said swiftly.

<Giovanni>
"very well then."

<Cindel>
"Say, Alex, do you remember anything different about the Giovanni you met? .." I ask as I look at the lady and the ex-rocket leader.
